Why why why why?!?
Life isn't easy, sometimes we get wrapped up in stupid crap. This is a song written during a time where the smallest of things bugged me. All-in-all, even though the single take wasn't amazing, I sort of like it now that I hear it and even with current life issues, the reality of what was going on then makes me appreciate this song a bunch. -
Everyday [soundtrack for driving] (Product of Society)
Every so often I have an internal theme playing in my head -- sort of like my own soundtrack to life. This sone is a bit like a soundtrack to driving my 5 speed 16v engine on the freeway on a summer day. Sure it's only a saturn but that's a pretty good metaphor for this song -- almost cool but not quite. -
Jolene (Cover by Dan Terpstra)
(1-02 Jolene_Cover) Many years ago a coworker had been downloading tons of versions of Jolene, she asked me to do a version and since I had a new guitar I thought I'd give it a try. As always, I hear issues with it now but still had fun creating it. You'll notice a strange ending which is where the ADAT tape abruptly ran out so I just left it with some reverb and flanging. -
Happy As We Are (Product of Society)
many years ago I was sitting with my wife on a beautiful summer day listening to the radio. I looked at her and this song popped into my head. It's not a favorite and with a single vocal take I hear many issues with it but still think it's a nice example of where my mind was back then. -
